KD in PUBG MOBILE stands for Kills to Death ratio. This is the average of how many kills you get in the total matches you played in any server.
Keep in mind that this change in rating system might need you to get more kills! So, why not have a look at Guide: How to Increase Kill Rating.
With this update, now nobody will have their KD ratio more than 20, in average, unless one is a hacker. This current system will rate your KD directly as:
Kill to Death Ratio (KD) = Kills / Matches Played
Before this update, the meaning of KD was the same but its implementation was
different. It used to be;
Kill to Death Ratio (KD) = Kills / Deaths
Here in total of 3 matches, my KD would be counted as: Kills/ Number of Deaths
We have,
Kills = 5+7+2 = 14
Number of Deaths(D) = 1
So, my KD would be 14/1 = 14
Hence, my KD would be displayed as 14 in the statistics. This is how conqueror players used to increase their KD.
But now, let's do the same calculations and count our KD but with the new update's formula:
KD = Kills / Number of Matches
= 12/ 3
= 4
So, with this new update, my KD would be 4 but with the older one, mine would be 12. So, there is no shortcut trick to increase your KD this time! You will need to get those kills on your hands.
So now, I hope you all have been clear about this new KD ratio system!

The simple difference is in the previous updates, if you do not die in one
match then your KD continues the same.
What is the difference and how does it affect the whole KD system?
Meaning, if I got 5 kills chicken dinner in Match 1, 7 kills chicken dinner
in Match 2 and 2 kills in Match 3 and finally I died.
